Dear Families,

We had a busy and exciting week of learning at Deer Run School! Students and teachers are hard at work preparing for School Conferences taking place this week. This is a friendly reminder to book your conference through your PowerSchool account. Thursday evening appointments will be held in person, and Friday appointments can be booked as either in-person or online.

This week also marked the return of our ever-popular Reading Grandparent Program. Each week, a dedicated group of retirees visits classrooms to read with students. Children look forward to this time and the opportunity to connect with a caring community member. Ear-to-ear smiles were seen on the faces of students and volunteers alike!

A big thank-you to everyone who contributed to the Grade 5/6 Bottle Drive. Our Parent Committee collected $708.00 in bottles and cash donations. They will be holding another bottle drive early in the new year, so please consider saving your bottles. The cost for each student attending Outdoor School is $450.00, and the committee is working hard to reduce this cost for all families.
