Happy New Year to all of our Deer Run Families! 

Monday was full of excitement as students and staff returned ready to share stories of their holiday adventures. We have since settled back into routines and students are engaged in January learning.  January is a busy month! Teachers are busy completing Provincial Assessments and writing report cards.  Report Cards will be available for families to view January 27, 2025, through your MyCBE PowerSchool account.    

Many students have returned from the break with new jackets, hoodies, gloves, mittens, and snow pants. Please take a moment to label all items with your child’s name so that any lost items can be easily returned.  

Kindergarten Registration for September 2025  

Kindergarten registration opens on January 13, 2025.  Registration is NOT first come first served. All students residing in Deer Run, Deer Ridge, or Deer River Estates are guarantee a spot at Deer Run School.   For more information about kindergarten registration please visit www.cbe.ab.ca. 

Healthy Hunger Lunch 

The next fun lunch is Coco Brooks on January 23, 2025.  To order lunch for your student, go to  www.healthyhunger.ca to set up an account.  

*Fun Lunches are not available for Kindergarten students* 

School Council Meeting  

Please join us for the next School Council meeting on January 15, 2025 at 6:00PM.  Come hear what is happening in the school and be a part of the decisions that we make!
