Hello Deer Run Families,
On Friday, all students enjoyed an engaging and powerful performance by Quest Theatre titled The Understandable Girl. A big thank you to our School Council for sponsoring this valuable experience! Cultural events, technology enhancements, and field trips are all supported through School Council fundraising initiatives.
School Council’s Raffle Box fundraiser closes on November 18, 2025. This is a wonderful way to support Deer Run School and possibly get a jump start on holiday shopping. Tickets can be purchased here: Deer Run Raffle. (https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/drepa) Thank you in advance for your support!

Weather You Like It or Not… Winter is Coming!
Although we’ve enjoyed a warm and extended fall, colder weather is on its way. Please ensure students come to school prepared for outdoor recess with:
- A warm jacket
- A hat
- Mittens or gloves
Please label all clothing items with your child’s name so that misplaced items can be returned quickly.
Spring Concert – Save the Date!
At Deer Run School, we alternate each year between winter and spring concerts. This year’s performance will take place on March 12, 2026. More information will be shared closer to the date.
School Council Updates
Our next School Council meeting will be held on November 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Learning Commons. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Big Box Cards/Candles orders are now available for pickup in the main office. Please avoid peak busy times (morning arrival and afternoon dismissal), if possible.
Picture Retake Day
November 24, 2025 is individual picture retake day. Students new to the school are also welcome to have their photos taken.
Deer Run Giving Tree
Our annual Giving Tree tradition has returned! If you are able, please consider donating a $25 gift card to support families in our community. Gift cards can be delivered to Mrs. Pulfer in the main office. Your generosity truly makes a difference.
Grade 5/6 Bottle Drive – November 21, 2025
Bottle donations can be dropped off in the community parking lot between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
All funds raised will help reduce the $450/student cost for Camp Chief Hector Outdoor School in April. Thank you in advance for supporting our students!
