Dear Families,
It is so hard to believe that we are already well into December! We are busy preparing for our winter concert series “The World in Song”. Make sure that you have ordered your tickets (emails were sent over the last couple weeks) as we will not be letting families in without tickets, due to fire code limitations. Students are asked to wear black, blue or white clothing.
December is filled with many “spirit” days for students to choose to take part in. You can find the dates on our Deer Run calendar at www.deerrun@cbe.ab.ca. The creativity shown on “dress like an ornament” day was off the charts! From homemade nutcrackers, Christmas tree balls, and full Christmas trees, we saw it all. Looking forward to see what will be on “Holiday Hair Don’t Care” day. J

Grade 6 Bottle Drive
Grade 6 students at Deer Run School will be going to outdoor school in April of 2025. In an effort to reduce costs for all families, a small group of grade 6 parents are working on fundraising initiatives. They will be hosting a bottle drive on December 15, 2024. Bottles can be dropped in the Deer Run School parking lot on this date. (Times will be sent out later this week.) Each family that drops off bottles will be given a chance to win two front row tickets to the winter concert. There will be five pairs of tickets up for available to win.
Healthy Hunger Fun Lunch
Little Caesar’s fun lunch is on December 12, 2024. Orders can place at www.healthyhunger.ca and need to be placed before Saturday at midnight.
Deer Run Giving Tree
Reminder that we are looking for $25 gift card donations for the Deer Run Giving Tree. Help to make the season a little brighter and easier for some local families.
