Good Afternoon,
What a great start to the school year! We hope that you have all settled back into the familiarity of fall routines and are enjoying the extended summer temperatures, as much as we are. Learning on the land and from the land is a part of our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation and the current temperatures make it easy for us to be outside. You are reminded that staff cannot apply sunscreen and bug spray to students. Please ensure that your child has these items applied before leave home.

Label Everything
Each year, we send thousands of dollars' worth of clothing and other lost items to charity because they go unclaimed in our Lost and Found. Please ensure all your child’s belongings are labelled with their name so that found items can be returned directly to them. Our Lost and Found is already filling up!
Safety Over Convenience
We kindly ask students and adults not to cut through the parking lot, as this creates significant safety concerns given the limited space and the number of students. Please remember that the parking lot is reserved for staff only.
We also urge all adults to set a good example for our students who observe your behavior as you cross the road to get to the school. Please use crosswalks to get children safely across the road.
Important Reminders:
- Please ensure that if your child needs a spoon or fork, it is packed in their lunch kit. We do not have utensils at the school for student use.
- You are reminded that dogs are not permitted on school grounds. This is a City of Calgary Bylaw.
- Students will be spending their PE classes and recess breaks outside. To ensure their safety, they need appropriate footwear. While sandals, flip-flops and Crocs may be weather-appropriate, they are not suitable for physical activity. Please ensure that children are wearing runners to and from school.
