This Week at Deer Run

What an amazing week of learning we have had at Deer Run School! All classrooms have been outside exploring the community with Yellow Steps Learning. Students are excited to share their discoveries and are learning to connect with “this place”  in meaningful ways. Thank you to our School Council for providing this opportunity to all Deer Run students.

A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for our Welcome Back Family Picnic! The weather was perfect, and the sense of community strong. Special thanks to our amazing School Council for popping and handing out popcorn. We hope to see you at our next School Council meeting on October 8, 2025.

On Friday, our school recognized Orange Shirt Day. This important day reminds us of the lasting impact of Residential Schools and our shared commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. Please remember there is no school on Tuesday, September 30, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Warmly,
Shawna, Krista, and the Deer Run Team

Quick Reminders:

  • Monday, Sept. 29 – Non-Instructional Day (No school)
  • Tuesday, Sept. 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (No school)
